Session 3
Before this class, the teacher introduced some famous makeup artists and their personal brands as well as catwalk shows makeup designed by Pat Mc Grath. Then, we used watercolors, crayons, and other colors to make makeup designs on paper. Each makeup was inspired by the photos taken last time. After designing 6 sets of makeup, we chose the most satisfactory one and applied it to our face. During the makeup process of half an hour, I had a better understanding of the difference between stage makeup and daily makeup and mastered some makeup techniques to make colorful eyeshadow and other cosmetics more colorful on the face. I was satisfied with the final presentation effect of the makeup and had some sense of the future, but I also encountered new difficulties when shooting the makeup. First, I found that I could not hit the makeup with a mobile phone and could not perfectly present the details of the makeup, for example, the flashes were not evident in the finished film. Later, I found that if I wanted to shoot the makeup details clearly, I had to give up some creative shooting schemes. Because it’s not going to be about makeup.
